Doing Things

Yes, that's right. There's no subtle play on words here. Is there anywhere? This is the part of the site that points out to people with itchy keyboard fingers or of fine voice which way to go.

First of all, those who don't think that they sing like an expiring sea-lion in extreme pain may wish to switch on their loudpeakers and sing along to songs like THE BALLAD OF ROBBIN' HOODIE. Or the more adventurous may like to hear and join in with the wonderful sounds of A POLITICAL THINK TANK. Both of these can be found on Bells and Whistles and there are similar wild experiences to be gained at various places around the site. To show true public spirit, they should ensure that there is no other sentient being within a radius of two miles and bolt any livestock to the floor.

Once they've got their voices into trim, they may like to sing, unaccompanied for the most part, the melodies in The Pinko Songbook. This takes true daring.

For those whose fingers are already trembling with anticipation, there are several places where they can make their electronic mark. The simplest thing used to be to Leave a thought in the Guestbook but that was before the spammers got to work. Now you have to use The Last Post to do it, or you might like to visit Stray Blogs.

If you have a web site of your own to promote, you can do this on the Free for all page. Or you may like to do this via search engines on the URL page. There's a more sophisticated way of doing this at the Web Site Submissions page. Or, if you think that a link on my own Links page could be to our mutual benefit if you reciprocated, just send me an e-mail . You can also do this if sections like the Triolet infuriate you or if you want to add something. A new sub-section, Trioletters, has been added to accommodate the comments of others. Very public spirited of me, don't you think?

Those people who like to read and are of a more serious frame of mind should find something of interest on Glo's Page . Be polite if you use it.

If you have a creative cast of mind, or are just an admirer of Texan concepts of democracy, have a look at the Interactive Caption. There's an opportunity for those motivated by an interest in politics and new technology to take part in an experiment in On-line Democracy. Or, if you are the possessor of an IQ of over 200 (or should that be over 20?) you may like to be intellectually stimulated by the riveting (is that the word?) Boing!!!

And finally, for those who'd like their fifteen nanoseconds of fame and have absolutely no sense of shame (like the delicate rhyme?) there is The Last Post . I'm sure you'll agree that this is the dregs of a pretty dreggy web site.
