Welsh Magazines

All this is is is a straightforward guide to some of the English-language magazines that are available in Wales.There are a number of Welsh-language magazines, but I'm not competent to deal with those. Some of you might question whether I'd be competent to deal with the English Language ones, but I don't attempt to try do do so in any depth or to give any value-judgements. The only way to see whether a particular magazine would suit you either as a reader or a writer is to see a copy for yourself.

This list is organised in four sections. First come the major grant-funded ones; secondly there are the other literary magazines (some of these get a smaller grant); thirdly there are the 'glossies' or commercial magazines; fourthly there are less readily classifiable 'other magazines', and fifthly there are the 'late lamented' magazines. I'll try to keep this list up to date: please send me a short e-mail if you are aware of other magazines that should be listed, or if any have slipped into the fifth dimension.
