* * * * * * is an independently-minded poetry magazine, partly funded by The Welsh Books Council. Subscriptions are, however, a vital part of the equation. A three-issue subscription costs £9.00 and a single issue is £3.50. Back numbers are available at £2.00 per copy, post inclusive The address for all correspondence is 3,Crown Street, Port Talbot, SA13 1BG. No submissions by e-mail are accepted.
Roundyhouse is operated by an editorial board comprising Byron Beynon, Phil Carradice, Sally Roberts Jones, Brian Smith and Alex Trowbridge-Matthews. It aims to provide the widest possible platform for verse, with the only criterion for acceptability being whether the poem effectively communicated what it had to say - be that philosophical, passionate, topographical or humorous. And of course available space. The magazine also carries articles, reviews, and other features relevant to the world of poetry. Poems (no more than six), articles, and reviews should be sent with adequate postage and a return sae to the Port Talbot address. The only real guide to what is likely to be used is to see a copy of the magazine itself.
The eighteenth issue of the magazine will be launched at 7:30pm on Thursday, 1 June 2006 at the The Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea.
The pictures are of
Alison Bielski, Phil Carradice, Raymond Humphreys, Peter Read, Herbert Williams and David Woolley.
